A beautiful patina of age on antique furniture holds a continuing story. In a way, each of these pieces of furniture are like time travellers. We use and enjoy them during the course of our lives - we like to call this ownership.

Another way to think of it - maybe the piece owns you. It takes the  bumps and scratches; the watermarks and too much light, sometimes, the lack of care and respect.

These marks and dings, the light and shade, the waxes, the stains. They all add to the building depth of patination of the timber and the finish. It's this that I really enjoy working with, not to change but to care for. My passion is to conserve and maintain these original finishes.
